Tattoos poked into my brain —
each one a memory I never asked for.
Etched in rabarba,
the background noise of things I lived but never
processed.
Late-night thoughts flicker like bootleg
subtitles,
never in sync,
always slipping out of sense.
(Half-remembered, half-invented — memory
stutters.)
Drunk texts never sent
drift in digital purgatory —
ghost confessions,
hesitated to be seen, but never afraid to be
shown.
And some memories don’t fade —
they scar instead.
