A feeling emerges—an undeniable impulse beneath the skin. Move forward or hold back? In Teasing the edge on a slippery slope, Chorus of Body delves into the tension of decision-making, the postponement of desire, and the fluid boundaries of identity.
The exhibition unfolds in two layers. The first chapter immerses the viewer in a cycle of bodies and movements intertwined, guided by desires. Figures navigating between conforming to norms and challenging them leave the audience in a constant state of in-betweenness. As the journey progresses, the atmosphere shifts; bodies become sharper, the limits of intimacy dissolve. Uncertain glances exchanged in gym locker rooms, bodies confined to rigid categories in military examinations, figures lost in the night yet somehow finding one another… Reclining in comfortable beds, the fleeting moment—felt but never fully grasped—becomes either the ultimate satisfaction or the greatest absence.
Everything moves toward a moment of completion—but instead of arriving, it lingers on the threshold. This tension between instinct and control is not merely a game of seduction but a deeper inquiry into identity, a way of existing.
