Katinka Eichorn

Katinka Eichhorn has been living and working in Mannheim since 2020. She studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. Her works have been shown in various exhibitions, for example at the exhibition space of the Kontigent Collective in Munich, at the Heidelberg Art Association, and at the Municipal Gallery in Neuwied.

Drawing, as a response to memories, observations, and measurements, forms the foundation of Katinka Eichhorn’s work. These visual reflections usually culminate in fabric objects or paper works reminiscent of cut-out silhouettes. In this process, the seam becomes a trace, and the form turns into a search for a personal gesture—one that often pauses at the point where it begins to take shape as a recognizable sign. Fragmentation, symmetry and its dissolution, as well as an engagement with the poetry and transformation of forms, are recurring elements in her work.
